Come Fly With Me
When I can, I offer free flights to people going through difficult times. It's a chance to spend a day away with the people they love, seek support, or make precious and lasting memories.
These flights are completely free and subject to weather conditions.
When I started in 2018, most of my passengers were children being treated for cancer and their families. These days I fly people facing all sorts of challenges: financial worry, loneliness, serious illness or loss.
Ask for a flight
1
Drop me a note
Please fill in the form below. Tell me a little about yourself and your situation, and where you'd go if you could go anywhere.
2
I’ll contact you
I’ll get back to you personally to discuss your request. I can only fly a small number of people, so not every request leads to a flight. But I read every single one and I always reply.
3
We fly
When the weather looks good and I have a window, I'll call you (sometimes with only 24 hours notice). We'll have a chat, sort out the details, and if all goes well, you'll be going somewhere you've been dreaming of.
Remember, these flights offer a chance to create lasting memories, find support, or simply enjoy a unique experience. I understand that circumstances can change, so there's no pressure to accept a flight if you're not available or no longer interested.
THE AIRCRAFT
Meet Saoirse
I’m a private pilot and I use my family’s general aviation aeroplane, a Cirrus SR22. Her name is Saoirse, which means “freedom” in Irish, and she lives at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire.
She’s not a private jet! She’s a small general aviation aeroplane capable of flying up to 230 miles per hour and up to an altitude of 25,000 feet.
While the aircraft seats three passengers plus the pilot, I fly a maximum of two passengers (subject to weight limits).
Saoirse has a maximum flight time of five hours. However, I typically limit flights to two hours. This allows us to reach destinations within the UK, the Republic of Ireland, northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
From people I’ve flown
Days they’ll never forget
Some of the happiest days of my life have been spent on board Saoirse, flying people to places they longed to visit, or to the people who matter most to them. Here are a few of them.
Local Flights: taking families up to see our beautiful region from a whole new perspective.
Cornwall: A memorable trip to the sands of Watergate Bay for a family reunion.
Normandy: A quiet, poignant flight to Omaha Beach with a war veteran.
Isle of Wight: A flight for a mother with terminal cancer, creating a day of memories for her teenage son to hold onto forever.
Oxford: a special day out at Blenheim Palace, flying a family to the heart of the estate.
Liverpool: An important journey to help a family get closer to the medical care they needed.
Every flight has its own story. If you have a journey in mind, whatever the reason, I’d love to hear from you. If it's possible to make it happen, I certainly will.
A few things I need you to know
As a volunteer pilot, I have the sole discretion to determine if a flight is safe and appropriate. Factors such as weather conditions play a crucial role in this decision. Whether or not the flight takes place, when it departs and returns, and the origin and destination of the flight are entirely at my discretion.
Therefore, please do not rely on these flights for time-sensitive travel. These flights are primarily intended to provide a memorable experience, and most participants understand that postponement is sometimes necessary.
The flights are offered entirely free of charge. I cover all associated costs.
Lastly, due to the nature of the aircraft, all passengers must be mobile and able to travel in a small, non-pressurised environment. In certain cases, a doctor's note confirming fitness for flight may be required.

Please fill in the form below and I'll be in touch. There's no lengthy process here, just a few questions so I can get to know you and make sure I can offer you the best possible day.
FOR CHARITIES & SUPPORT WORKERS
Know someone who needs help?
Over the years, some of my most meaningful flights have come through referrals: social workers and nurses at Addenbrooke's, hospice teams, and local charities who knew someone that needed a break.
If you work with families or individuals going through a hard time, whatever their age or situation, I'd love to hear from you.
A referral means the person doesn't have to find the words to ask for help themselves. Just tell me a little about them and I'll take it from there.
